Just another great Pete the Cat story full of positivity! More fun illustrations from James Dean。 And the book comes with a poster, some stickers and some little Easter cards。 It's tough to beat Pete the Cat, especially when he teams up with the Easter Bunny。 Keep rockin', Pete。 Just another great Pete the Cat story full of positivity! Bethe,
Cute story of Pete encountering a problem first thing Easter morning。 Nice message of being helpful。 I was worried about the paints he was using on the eggs, however!
Diane,
This is a cute book in the series。 The only thing that really bothered me was it saying 。。。。 The true meaning of Easter is helping each other。 Even if they don't use the Christian meaning, I've heard the alternate being Spring and rebirth。 I just don't see where they got this concept and then teach it to kids。 This is a cute book in the series。 The only thing that really bothered me was it saying 。。。。 The true meaning of Easter is helping each other。 Even if they don't use the Christian meaning, I've heard the alternate being Spring and rebirth。 I just don't see where they got this concept and then teach it to kids。 。。。more
Ike,
Pete the Cat is one of my Grandson's favorite books。 He is on the autism spectrum and has difficulty with reading, but derives great enjoyment from the Pete the Cat series。 Saw this one in a story and picked it up for him as an Easter present。 Part of the excitement came when he found out that it had a poster included in it to display in his room。 Well illustrated and well written, for my family a proven winner! (Audiobook)Recently I read nine (yep 9) Pete the Cat books。 These books are perfect for grands and great-grands to read with young children。 The underlying value system seems to be of the 1960s-70s。 I selected the audiobook rather than the picture book。 Thought I would be disappointed。 Instead I was well pleased。 The narrator impressed me。 Rarely does anyone--even with a computerized aid--have such air and volume command as this extremely young man Teddy Walsh。 I hope as his voice changes that h (Audiobook)Recently I read nine (yep 9) Pete the Cat books。 These books are perfect for grands and great-grands to read with young children。 The underlying value system seems to be of the 1960s-70s。 I selected the audiobook rather than the picture book。 Thought I would be disappointed。 Instead I was well pleased。 The narrator impressed me。 Rarely does anyone--even with a computerized aid--have such air and volume command as this extremely young man Teddy Walsh。 I hope as his voice changes that he will retain those two qualities。 This book is about the Easter Bunny commanding Pete to do the bunny's job and Pete's making effort to be as dignified as possible while wearing bunny ears and carrying an sun-filled Easter basket。 。。。more
Jeanne Castagnaro,
My son loves this book! He loves to decorate and dress up for holidays。 A perfect complement to Easter。
Lucca,
A great adventure with our favorite literature kitty。
Katelyn,
I enjoyed the book。 First, Pete the cat waits for his Easter basket, but the basket is empty except a note。 Easter bunny asked Pete to help。 Pete pretends to be bunny and prepare the eggs。 At the end, Pete is tired but he feels happy to help others。
Joe Loncarich,
Can you imagine a cat wearing bunny ears? Pretty funny, right? Well, this book is somehow even funnier。 You won't believe how far they go。 Expect to shout, "Oh, no he didn't!" at least a half dozen times。 Can you imagine a cat wearing bunny ears? Pete the Cat is excited for the treats he thinks he will find in his Easter basket, only to discover a letter from the Easter Bunny on the big morning, asking for his help in making, decorating and hiding the festive eggs。 Always upbeat, Pete kicks into gear, helping the holiday bunny in his trouble。。。Much as with Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase, I found myself singularly unimpressed with this Easter offering。 I've read all of the full-sized Pete the Cat picture-books, and a smatter Pete the Cat is excited for the treats he thinks he will find in his Easter basket, only to discover a letter from the Easter Bunny on the big morning, asking for his help in making, decorating and hiding the festive eggs。 Always upbeat, Pete kicks into gear, helping the holiday bunny in his trouble。。。Much as with Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase, I found myself singularly unimpressed with this Easter offering。 I've read all of the full-sized Pete the Cat picture-books, and a smattering of the early readers and other titles, because the character is so popular at work, but these holiday offerings just feel gratuitous and unnecessary, as if the Deans were coattail-riding at this point。 The rhymes here were only so-so, the story somewhat odd - no, Pete the Cat, helping others, as laudable as it may be, is not what Easter is "all about" - and the artwork uninspiring。 Determined fans of the character might find this one appealing, especially with the Easter cards and poster that have been included, but I'd advise all others to give it a miss。 。。。more

This book asks questions about what a dinosaur does on Christmas。 Does he go to bed without making any noise or does he sneak down stairs to see what he gets? Does he rip open presents under the tree or pick off the ornaments from the trees。 The dinosaur goes to bed quietly and waits for the morning and he doesn't sneak out of his bed。 A dinosaur doesn't ruin the tree he leaves the tree alone。 This is a good book about behavior。 It could be used in a classroom when talking about behavior and cou This book asks questions about what a dinosaur does on Christmas。 Does he go to bed without making any noise or does he sneak down stairs to see what he gets? Pete’s Easter I liked this book because it shows you should help each other even if it is not the Easter bunny and I would do the same thing Pete did

Jessica,
As a reading response activity the students will make and decorate their own Easter eggs。 For this activity the children will use paints。 I will model different designs that they can put on their eggs to help them with ideas。 Then I will encourage them to make patterns with the designs that they choose。 I will have a large single oval egg for each student and when finished will display their creations on a bulletin board with a patch of grass scenery。
Becky,
The only reason it doesn't get one star is because it didn't make me rage, but it sure was dumb。 There's no substance to this at all。 It tries to have the message of "helping others is what Easter's all about," but that is indeed not what Easter is all about。。。 so that's misleading。 It'll check out from your library, but you won't feel good about it。 Pick another Easter book to purchase。 The only reason it doesn't get one star is because it didn't make me rage, but it sure was dumb。 There's no substance to this at all。 It tries to have the message of "helping others is what Easter's all about," but that is indeed not what Easter is all about。。。 so that's misleading。 It'll check out from your library, but you won't feel good about it。 Pick another Easter book to purchase。 。。。more

Pete the Cat wakes up on Easter, eager to see what's in his basket。 It's a note from the Easter Bunny, asking for help! Pete gathers eggs, colors them, and hides them for his friends。 He's tired, but realizes that doing something nice for his friends was just as good as a basket full of jelly beans would have been。 Super cute, with Pete hopping around town in a bunny costume。 Kids will giggle and enjoy this one。 Pete the Cat wakes up on Easter, eager to see what's in his basket。 It's a note from the Easter Bunny, asking for help!
